Several local communities will benefit from funding through the province’s 2022 Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF).
The $500 million fund is the province’s main general assistance grant to 389 municipalities.
The funding provided through the program is unconditional and can be used to support the local priorities and specific needs of each community.
Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy says the government recognizes the importance of the OMPF to communities across the province and is committed to making sure it continues to provide stable financial support they can count on.
Prine Edward County received the biggest allotment at just over $3 million.
The City of Quinte West is getting $1.4 million.
