The 2021 Premier’s Awards has nominations from across the province, including six connected to Loyalist College.
The virtual event takes place on Thursday November 18, and includes nominees from all walks of life and educational backgrounds.
Nominated from Loyalist College are Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen for Community Service, Computer and Electrical Engineer Jamu Alford in the Technology category, Photojournalism grad Darren Calabrese in Creative Arts and Design, Nicole Flynn under Recent Graduate, in Health Science Laurie French who is the Regional Director of Providence Care, and Kai Hulshof in Business, who is the CEO of Canopy Media.
Belleville’s Fire Chief Monique Belair was also nominated by her alma mater Niagara College .
