There will be only one way to vote in next year’s municipal election in Brighton.
Brighton council has agreed with a staff recommendation which suggested doing away with the vote by telephone option.
Telephone voting is used by very few people and creates confusion for users especially when there are long lists of candidates.
In the next election, voting in Brighton will be done by internet only.
However there will be voting kiosks set up with people ready to assist those who don’t have the technology at home to vote.
