The City of Quinte West is set to make a decision regarding adopting a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination by-law for all city staff at its meeting Monday.
Earlier this month council approved the idea of mandatory vaccinations for city staff including committee members, councillors and volunteers.
The decision was not made without opposition as a number of people wrote in to express their displeasure under the public comments section of the agenda.
Monday, council will officially vote on adopting the COVID–19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy By–law.
If approved, all city staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by November 22 with the first dose having been administered no later than October 11.
Council meets Monday at 6:30 p.m.
