There were seven new cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
Thirty-nine cases are active.
All but one of the new cases are unvaccinated.
Four of them are in youths 18 and under.
The health unit dashboard also shows four of the cases are located in Belleville with two in Quinte West and one in North Hastings.
Local spread is the cause of one case with the other six causes pending.
Two people are in hospital but no one is being treated in the ICU.
Eighty-eight percent of local residents aged 12 and up have received at least one dose of a vaccine and 81 percent are fully vaccinated.
There were no new cases of COVID Wednesday in Northumberland.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reported 12 active cases.
The province reported 306 new infections Wednesday, it’s lowest daily number of new cases since early August.
