Warrants
On October 6, 2021 at 5:15 p.m., a 28-year-old male attended the front counter at Belleville Police Service to speak with police. It was learned at that time the male had a bench warrant for uttering a threat to cause bodily harm. Aaron Wood of Belleville was arrested on the strength of the warrant and released a short time later on an undertaking with a court date on November 25, 2021.
On October 6, 2021 at 7:55 p.m., Belleville police were called to the area of Station St. and Bleecker Ave. regarding an unwanted person. Officers attended the area and located a 33-year-old female who was attempting to enter a residence. Further police investigation revealed there were several outstanding warrants for the female for breach of probation, fail to attend court, theft under $5000, assault and break and enter. Belleville resident Kristine Wendling, was arrested on the warrants and held for a bail hearing on October 7, 2021.
Fail to Stop for Police
On October 7, 2021 at 2:40 a.m., police were patrolling in the east end of the city when officers spotted a dark coloured sedan, with a loud exhaust, driving with only its daytime running lights on. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, it accelerated at a high rate of speed. Officers did not pursue the vehicle due to the excessive speed and risk to public safety. The vehicle was last seen travelling east on Old Highway 2. The driver of the vehicle is described as a younger white male, light coloured long hair, wearing a black ball cap turned backwards and a grey sweater.
