The online application process for funding from United Way Hastings & Prince Edward has officially opened. Funds raised through
the annual campaign will be allocated back out to the not for profit charitable sector in our community.
United Way HPE is striving to meet a $1,950,000 fundraising goal announced mid-September so they can invest in programs that
support thousands of people locally, helping them when they need it most. Last year, over 50,000 people in this community found support through United Way funded programs.
According to Brandi Hodge, Executive Director, “All social service organizations wishing to apply for funding are encouraged to do so. These organizations include all charitable organizations which meet the eligibility criteria.” Hodge stressed that organizations are not required to have had a prior relationship with United Way in order to apply.
All Requests for Investments that are completed and submitted on time will be reviewed by a citizen review committee. Hodge explains, “Citizen review teams (community volunteers) review and evaluate funding applications —ultimately community members, with the help of professional staff, make funding recommendations to the Board of Directors of United Way HPE.”
Requests for Investment must be completed and submitted by way of an online application by December 3, 2021, 4:30 p.m. All interested organizations can review the detailed Call for Proposal, eligibility criteria, instructions, training session information and
supporting documentation by visiting https://unitedwayhpe.ca/investment–opportunities/
