Motor Vehicle Collision
On October 5, 2021 at 5:40 p.m., police responded to the area of Sidney Street and Moira Street for a two-vehicle collision. One of the involved vehicles sustained significant damage. There were no injuries reported. As a result of a police investigation, the at fault driver was charged with follow too closely under the Highway Traffic Act.
Shoplifting Incident
On October 5, 2021 at 5:15 p.m., police responded to a business in the area of Millennium Parkway regarding a shoplifter. The business’s Loss Prevention Officer observed a 29-year-old Belleville female conceal items from within the store and exit with no attempt to pay for the goods. The female was arrested for theft, then after paying for the goods and at the request of the business, she was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Engage in Prohibited Activity on Premises under the Trespass to Property Act.
