There were three new cases of COVID-19 reported Tuesday in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
The HPE Public Health dashboard shows all three new cases were found in unvaccinated people.
Two of the cases are on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory while the other is located in Quinte West.
On Monday the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte announced that three students had tested positive for the virus at Quinte Mohawk School.
With five recoveries the number of active cases in Hastings-Prince Edward is down to 26.
Three people remain in hospital for treatment with two of them being in the Intensive Care Unit.
Vaccination rates remain at 88% of local residents age 12 and up having received one dose of a COVID vaccine and 80% fully vaccinated.
The health unit is also now sharing the number of third doses or booster shots administered: 1,147 people have received a booster shot over the last four weeks with 489 of those happening over the last seven days.
In August, the province announced people at highest risk could receive a third vaccine shot to offer stronger protection against the Delta variant.
That includes long-term care residents, transplant recipients and others.
