The entire Trent-Severn Waterway will be reopen for its last weekend of the season.
Unusually high levels of rain recently necessitated a temporary closure of Lock 1 Trenton to Lock 27 Young’s Point with the exception of Locks 20 and 21 in Peterborough.
That allowed operations staff to move water through the system to create safe boating conditions.
Those locks will reopen for recreational boating on Friday morning.
Parks Canada says the last lockage of the season will occur on Monday, October 11 at 4:30 p.m.
