Not surprisingly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, construction activity is much busier in Prince Edward County this year than last.
In September the county issued 80 building permits with a construction value of almost $12.8 million.
Most of that total came from plans to build 12 new houses valued at almost $10 million.
In September of last year just 64 permits were issued with a value of $6.2 million.
So far this year permits have been issued for projects worth $127.5 million.
Meanwhile, all of last year’s permits were issued for a total of value of only $70.5 million.
