A Trenton company specializing in marine cordage and rope products has been sold to a British Columbia manufacturer.
CMP Group Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of marine products based in Vancouver, has acquired Grant Rope Inc.
Norm Grant founded Grant Rope in 2008, operating online at the Onlineropestore.com and through The Rope Store retail outlet. He will remain with the combined entity to help ensure a smooth transition.
Grant called it a tremendous opportunity saying that joining forces with CMP will take Grant Rope to the next level.
Don Hambly, President & CEO of CMP says Grant Rope’s manufacturing expertise supports their plan to develop and launch domestically-made premium rope products under the new ‘CMP Cordage’ brand.
The deal closed on October 1.
