Suspended drivers
On September 29, 2021 at 4 a.m., a Belleville police officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the west end of the city. A check of the driver confirmed he was a suspended driver. The driver was also unable to offer any proof he had insurance for the vehicle. As a result, the driver was charged with driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without insurance. The 27-year-old Belleville resident was given a November 8 court date.
On September 29, 2021 at 10:30 p.m., a Belleville police officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the northwest part of the city. A check of the driver confirmed he was a suspended driver. As a result of the traffic investigation, the driver was charged with driving while suspended, being a G1 driver and operating a motor vehicle unaccompanied and failing to surrender an insurance card. The 43-year-old North Addington resident was given a November 8 court date.
