It’s 30 years and counting for the Quinte West Professional Firefighters Coats for Kids program.
The program was started in 1991 by the Professional Firefighters Association who wanted to help kids stay warm during the winter months.
However, the firefighters and associates raise funds and shop for coats year-round so they can make them available free of charge.
Last year over 350 coats were donated. Donations are now being accepted at the new fire hall in Trenton.
