The COVID-19 Assessment Centre in Quinte West will be closed for a few days next week as some changes are made to the operation at the Duncan McDonald Community Memorial Gardens.
The Trenton testing centre will be closed from September 27-29.
Quinte Health Care Communications Director Catherine Walker tells Quinte News that some minor changes will be made at the arena to ensure recreational programs like hockey and testing services remain separate.
It will reopen Thursday, September 30 with new hours, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Hours at the assessment centres in Belleville, Picton and Bancroft are not changing at this time.
Walker says testing volumes have increased during the month of September, likely a combination of back to school and some local outbreaks.
However, they are not at capacity so most people can still book same day appointments and have results within 24 hours.
