Belleville Police headquarters served as the starting point of the annual Ride To Remember Police Memorial Ride Friday morning.
The ride commemorates the lives of those who died in the line of duty along with honouring the families of those lost.
The team includes officers from Kingston, Gananoque, Peel, OPP, and Brockville.
Due to COVID, the national Ride To Remember events were cancelled but there are several regional events.
The Eastern Region team left Belleville around 8 a.m. and is cycling 174 km to Brockville.
The last Sunday of September is Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day.
