The Belleville Police Service responded to 75 calls from September 16, 2021 at 5 a.m. to September 17, 2021 at 5 a.m.
Serious Motor Vehicle Collision
On September 16, 2021 at 4 p.m., Belleville police, along with Belleville Fire and Paramedics responded to Bronk Rd. for a single vehicle crash. A lone male operating a pickup truck lost control and the vehicle rolled and ejected the male. A utility pole was sheared off in the crash and the truck was destroyed. A 32-year-old Belleville man was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash. Public Intoxication
On September 17, 2021 at 12:30 a.m., officers attended an apartment complex on Dundas St. on the report of a disturbance. Police located a 58-year-old Belleville woman nearby who was intoxicated and refused to go to her home. A 32-year-old Quinte West man was also nearby, and equally intoxicated and uncooperative with police. Both were arrested and transported to the cells. Investigation revealed the arrested parties were mother and son. Both were held until sober enough to safely care for themselves.
