NOTICE: Construction on Church Street (Picton) Sept. 17
The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to repair a sanitary sewer main at the intersection Church Street and Union Street in Picton.
Repairs will begin on Friday, September 17 at approximately 7 am, with an expected completion time of 7 pm.
Church Street north of Union Street will be reduced to one lane for the duration of the repair. Traffic control will be in place to direct motorists through the construction zone. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area may experience intermittent coloured water due to vibrations from construction. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter until clarity is restored.
NOTICE: Traffic disruption on Johnson Street (Picton) Sept. 17
A traffic disruption will occur on Johnson Street between McDonald Drive and MacSteven Drive in Picton on Friday, September 17.
The disruption will take place between 7 am and 3 pm.
Work crews will be removing some trees from the roadside ditch.
Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
