The Belleville Police responded to 63 calls for service between 5 a.m. on September 15, 2021 and 5 a.m. on September 16, 2021.
Youth charged with assault and mischief
On September 15, 2021 at 8:10 p.m., police were called to a north end neighbourhood regarding a youth causing a disturbance and mischief to property. On arrival, the youth had returned to his residence and had started to assault his family members. Officers arrested the male at which time he spat in the face of one of the officers. The 16-year-old was arrested and charged with assault, assaulting a peace officer, and mischief under $5000. He will appear in court on October 12.
Stolen vehicle located
On September 15, 2021, at 1 p.m., police received a call regarding a stolen vehicle. Police were advised that a white 2008 Cadillac SRX with a dealer plate was stolen overnight on September 14/15. Police located the vehicle at 6 p.m. on September 15 in the parking lot at King George Square Plaza at 110 North Front Street. The vehicle was unoccupied. Anyone with information regarding the vehicle, or anyone who may have observed someone driving or parking the vehicle is asked to call the Belleville Police Service.
