Belleville police responded to 79 calls for service between 5 a.m. on September 14, 2021 and 5 a.m. on September 15, 2021.
Possession of Narcotics
On September 14, 2021 at 6:41 p.m., officers observed a vehicle on Coleman St and observed a male driver who they knew was operating the vehicle while suspended. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested for driving while suspended. The Belleville police K9 unit was called in for a search of the vehicle. The search revealed a small quantity of narcotics. Paul Nixson a 33-year-old Belleville resident, was charged with possession of a narcotic, breach of release order and driving under suspension. He was released on an undertaking with a court date on October 4.
Impaired Driver
On September 14, 2021 at 9:05 p.m. police received a report of a single vehicle accident on Palmer Rd. When police arrived, they observed that a vehicle had crashed into a hydro pole. Police spoke to the female driver and arrested her for impaired driving. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she provided two samples of breath. As a result, Chelsea Collar a 28-year-old Belleville resident was charged with impaired driving. She was released on an undertaking with a court date on October 7.
Breach of Release Order
On September 14, 2021 at 10:19 p.m., police observed a vehicle on Tripp Ave. The officer saw a passenger that was familiar to police. A record check indicated that the female was on a release order from previous charges. Sara Lougheed, a 35-year-old Belleville resident was breaching three of those conditions. As a result, she was arrested and charged with three counts of breaching a release order. She was released on an undertaking with a court date October 28, 2021.
