Intoxicated female
On September 13, 2021 at 9 p.m., Belleville police were called to a downtown business regarding an unwanted female. Officers arrived on scene and located the female and determined that she was heavily intoxicated and continued to cause issues. The 33-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for her own protection. She was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and held until deemed sober.
Warrant Arrest
On September 13, 2021 at 11 p.m., officers were called to an east end parking lot regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the disturbance was over, but while speaking to one of the involved parties it was learned that she was currently wanted on two warrants for theft under $5000 and failing to comply with an appearance notice. Thirty-seven-year-old Melissa McGiffen of Belleville was arrested and later released on an undertaking with a court date on October 21, 2021.
