A father and son duo from Tweed are sharing a $100,000 lottery prize.
Denis and Yerasimos (Jerry) Theofylatos of Tweed matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the June 5 ONTARIO 49 draw.
Denis, 62, and Jerry, 34, said they were very surprised to find out they won big. “I checked the ticket at the store and called Jerry right away,” shared Denis while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings. “We shared the news with close family and friends, and everyone was happy for us,” said Denis.
The father and son plan to build a house in Greece with their winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Essential Plus Mart on Matthew Street in Marmora.
