The Ontario Junior Hockey League exhibition season is underway with the Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes splitting their weekend series.
Trenton avenged their 4-3 loss to the Dukes on Saturday with a 6-0 win yesterday.
Dalton Bancroft scored the hat trick with Ethan Taylor, and William Nguyen shared the 25-save shutout. Jaxen Boyer added two goals and an assist with Cole Williamson scoring once.
The Dukes are home to Carleton Place on Friday night while Trenton hosts Lindsay on Sunday.
Both teams open the OJHL seaon on October 1.
A pair of Aces at Murray Hills
Murray Hills Golf Club reports two holes in one this weekend.
Claudette Tinkler of Brighton aced the 97 yard 6th hole with a 6 hybrid.
Belleville’s Gordon Stewart got his hole in one on the 102 yard 4th hole with an 8 iron. It’s Gordon’s second hole in one at Murray Hills this year.
