The Belleville Police Service responded to 80 calls from September 8, 2021 at 5 a.m. to September 9, 2021 at 5 a.m.
Arrest on Multiple Thefts
On September 9, 2021 at 2:20 a.m., officers spotted a male party walking on North Front Street who was wanted for several recent theft complaints. The 38-year-old male was arrested without incident and is being held for a bail hearing today on six theft-related charges.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Officers dealt with several weather-related collisions over the past 24 hours. Luckily no injuries were reported and most of the crashes were minor in nature.
Car Fire
On September 8, 2021 at 4:20 p.m., officers attended a church parking lot on Old Highway 2 to assist Belleville Fire with a car fire. A 2009 Pontiac was completely destroyed but no injures were reported. The incident is not considered suspicious.
