Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 as well as one new recovery Wednesday for a total of 32 active cases.
Four of the new cases are in Belleville with one each in Prince Edward County and North Hastings.
Five of the new cases are found in unvaccinated people with the remaining one found in a fully vaccinated person.
To date, 84% of HPE residents 12 and older have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 75% have had both.
In the past seven days 1,083 people have rolled up their sleeve for a first dose and 1,372 people have received their second dose.
According to the HPE Public Health COVID-19 dashboard there are currently two active outbreaks in the region, one at a child care facility in Belleville involving three cases and one at Caressant Care Retirement Residence in Marmora involving 12 cases.
In Northumberland County the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting just two new cases and three total active.
