Construction in Quinte West slowed down in August relative to the same month last year but remains stronger to this point than in 2020.
Last month there were 83 permits issued in the City of Quinte West for a total construction value of $10,429,500.
This marks a slower month than August of 2020 when there were 129 permits issued for a total construction value of $16,398,925.
The most popular categories in August of 2021 were residential (other) with 35 permits at a value of $1,848,000 and residential (new) with 20 permits issued for a total value of $6,688,000.
So far this year there have been 606 permits issued for a total construction value of $90,417,500 which paces well ahead of this time in 2020 when there were 524 permits issued for a total construction value of $64,476,025.
