Belleville’s planning committee is set to look at an updated report on a proposed rezoning to allow for a new housing project on Cloverleaf Drive.
On Tuesday the committee will get an update on the plan, which now calls for 25 townhouses down from 31, to allow for more yard space and reduce the dwelling and population density in the area.
The staff report shows that the town homes would be one-storey with a partial second floor and the overall development would include a private road, visitor parking space, and a trail connection to Boyd Park.
While some members of the public said they were worried about increased traffic, loss of green space and increased use of the park, there were no environmental concerns identified with the development.
The planning committee will make its decision on the plan on Tuesday, before sending it on to council for final approval.
