Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reported five new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, all of them in unvaccinated individuals.
The number of active cases dropped to 34. There have been 10 recoveries since Monday’s report.
None of the new cases are in individuals under the age of 18 and there is still no one being treated in hospital.
The health unit dashboard shows one case is outbreak-related with the causes of the other four pending.
Two of the cases are in Belleville and there is one each in Central Hastings and Prince Edward County.
Three outbreaks remain active with eight cases now connected to the latest one at Caressant Care long term care facility in Marmora.
There is little change in vaccination rates Tuesday – 83% of local residents age 12 and over have had one dose of a COVID vaccine and 73% are fully vaccinated.
Four cases remain active in Northumberland County.
