Arrest on Warrants
On August 28, 2021 at 4 p.m., an officer on patrol in the west end of the city observed a male who was believed to be wanted on warrants. Forty-six-year-old Dale Green of Belleville was arrested on outstanding warrants for charges of failing to attend court, two counts of failing to comply with a release order, theft under $5,000 and assault. Green was held for a bail hearing on the August 29.
Suspended driver
On August 28, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., a Belleville police officer conducted a traffic stop of a motorcycle on Highway 37 in area of Blessington road. The motorcyclist was determined to be suspended from driving in Ontario. The 47-year-old from Kitchener was charged with driving while suspended and was given a court date for November 8.
