Belleville Police have released information on the accident that left thousands without power Wednesday.
Police say shortly before noon officers and firefighters were called to Frankford Road east of Highway 62 for a report that a transport truck had pulled hydro wires down.
Upon further investigation it was found that the accident had caused a power outage affecting more than 2,000 people in the surrounding area.
Police shut down the roadway temporarily while crews repaired the damage and there were no reported injuries.
