The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties increased slightly Thursday.
With four new cases reported by HPE Public Health and only two recoveries, the number of active cases is up to 36.
Only one new case is an unvaccinated individual.
Another is partially vaccinated and two are fully vaccinated.
The health unit dashboard shows the transmission status of all four cases is pending.
Three of the new cases are in Central Hastings and one is in Quinte West.
One person remains hospitalized but no one is in the ICU.
Two outbreaks remain ongoing.
The workplace outbreak in Prince Edward County is now responsible for 20 cases while a daycare outbreak in Belleville is still at two.
Eighty-three percent of local residents age 12 and up have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine and 72% are now fully vaccinated.
As of Wednesday, the Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit was reporting four active cases in Northumberland.
