A group of youngsters in the Foxboro area is not letting the heat get to them.
They set up a lemonade stand on Old Madoc Road Tuesday with a plan to donate all the proceeds to charity.
Twelve-year-old Lilah Harvey says she and her friend Peyton Davidson had the idea while playing with their neighbour’s baby one day.
“We just got all the supplies and started. And we have Sawyer, Grayson, Seth, Nash, Trip and Peyton over here all helping and it’s really a great team. So we’re donating to the Humane Society. Why’d you want to do that? Well, we just wanted to give back to the community.”
They have raised $611.60.
They received several generous donations and even had some pizza donated by Pizza Belleville in Foxboro.
