One driver was transported to a Toronto trauma centre after a two vehicle collision in Alnwick/Haldimand Township Friday night.
According to Today’s Northumberland, around 7 p.m. a van going east on County Road 22 hit another vehicle that was heading north on South Burns Road.
The two vehicles collided and one vehicle was thrown into a ditch with heavy damage to the driver’s side.
The driver of the vehicle in the ditch was extricated by Alnwick/Haldimand firefighters and both drivers were taken to a hospital.
County Road 22 was closed while OPP Technical Collision investigators examined the scene.
