A Belleville man is facing drug charges after falling off his scooter Friday evening.
According to Belleville Police, officers and paramedics were called to the area of Catherine and Cedar Streets around 6 p.m. for reports of a man who’d struck a tree riding a child’s scooter down a hill.
The man suffered minor injuries and officers found that he was intoxicated.
Police then arrested him and discovered he had a small amount of fentanyl on him.
As a result 36-year-old Michael Gunn was charged with possession of a schedule one substance and failing to comply with probation.
He was released on an undertaking with a court date set for September 20.
