PEC farmers make donation to new hospital campaign

Dairy Producers in Prince Edward County “Back the Build.”

Friday, a group of farmers representing the local Dairy Producers and their families presented the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation with a second donation to the campaign to build a new hospital.

At Prinzhaven Farms in Bloomfield, AJ deBoef, chair of the Prince Edward County Dairy Producer committee, presented a $5,000 gift to the Back the Build campaign.

In November 2018, the Dairy Producers were one of the first groups to donate to the campaign, giving $18,000.

There are 30 dairy producers in Prince Edward County.

Friday’s donation is actually worth $15,000.

The Paul B. Helliwell Foundation is matching the gift two to one.
