Arrest on Warrants
On August 18, 2021 at approximately 9 a.m., police attended a business in the east end of the city regarding a female loitering and refusing to leave. The female had left prior to police arrival but then at 5:30 p.m. the female returned. Police arrived and identified the 37-year-old female Belleville resident who was wanted, and arrested her on several outstanding warrants for criminal charges of fail to attend court after having appeared, fail to comply with undertaking, criminal harassment and unlawfully in a dwelling. The female was later released with a court date of September 16, 2021.
Arrest on Warrants
On August 18, 2021,at approximately 8:22 p.m., police were dispatched to a business in the west end regarding unwanted persons on the property causing a disturbance. Upon police arrival, a 31-year-old Belleville man was recognized and known to be wanted on two warrants for outstanding charges of two counts of fail to comply with probation order, pedestrian fail to use cross walk, and fail to attend court. The male was subsequently arrested and later released with a court date of September 16, 2021.
Vehicle vs. Building
On August 18, 2021,at approximately 9:15 p.m., police attended a business in the north end of the city regarding a single vehicle collision with a commercial building. The driver and passenger were unharmed and no pedestrians were injured. The business sustained damage to a window and there was minor damage to the motor vehicle. No charges were laid due to the incident occurring on private property.
