The Belleville Police Service responded to 75 calls from August 17, 2021 at 5 a.m. to August 18, 2021 at 5 a.m.
Stolen Vehicle
On August 16, 2021, at 5:45 a.m., a resident of the city’s east end woke up to their vehicle not in their driveway. Sometime overnight, a 2015 Black VW Jetta with Ontario plate CEXB670 was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call The Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882 or Quinte Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Theft from Vehicle
On August 17, 2021, police received a report of a theft from a vehicle that occurred overnight, several days prior, in the city’s east end. Belleville Police would like to remind residents to ensure their vehicles are locked and remove all valuables.
Liquor Licence Act
On August 17, 2021 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers attended a public area in the east end of the city regarding a suspicious female, who appeared to be intoxicated, and followed the complainant. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect female who was very intoxicated. The 33-year-old Belleville resident was arrested under the Liquor Licence Act for her and the public’s safety and later released on a Part 1 offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
