It appears the incumbent member of parliament for Hastings-Lennox and Addington may have his sights set west for the upcoming federal election.
In an email to supporters, incumbent independent MP Derek Sloan says he has a “major announcement” planned in Alberta Thursday night, where he has been making appearances recently.
The email quotes Sloan as saying “as you know I’m in Alberta right now and I’m not leaving,” pledging to “make Alberta great again.”
It goes on to say, “It’s time to put faith, family and freedom first again in this country,” and encourages supporters to attend the event in person.
Sloan had announced last month that he was planning to start his own political party called “True North”, and that at that time, he still planned to run in his home riding.
