Justin Trudeau spent a few minutes of his first full day on the campaign in our region Monday.
Early yesterday evening the Liberal leader did a quick walkabout in Napanee while also stopping by the Waterfront River Pub and Terrace.
Trudeau was there in support of Hastings-Lennox and Addington Liberal candidate Mike Bossio.
And then as darkness fell Trudeau greeted hundreds of people who’d waited over two hours in downtown Cobourg.
There he spoke alongside Northumberland-Peterborough South Liberal candidate Alison Lester.
He was greeted by a small group of protesters, some of whom shouted “traitor”.
