An idea brought forward by a Brighton councillor might become a reality next month.
Councillor Emily Rowley suggested a few weeks ago that one of Brighton’s crosswalks should be painted orange to commemorate the Indigenous children who died under the care of the now notorious Residential School System.

“This week I will be reaching out to Chief Mowat from Alderville First Nation and ask what level of consultation we should engage in and how to best move forward with that process.”
