Of the 11 new cases of COVID-19 reported Mondday by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, six of them are unvaccinated individuals.
One person is partially vaccinated while four of the cases are fully vaccinated.
The health unit’s dashboard shows eight of the new cases were caused by close contact and two by local spread with the cause of the other case pending.
There are still 28 active cases across the two counties as there have been 11 recoveries since the last report on Friday.
Two outbreaks, one resulting from a party in the Frankford area and the other related to a Prince Edward County workplace, remain active.
There are now 14 cases connected to that outbreak in the County.
No one is being treated in hospital for the virus.
Seventy percent of local residents age 12 and over have now been fully vaccinated against COVID.
First doses have been administered to 81% of the population.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reported two new cases in Northumberland Monday and a total of six active cases.
