A 33-year-old Belleville man faces two domestic mischief charges after lying to police about an incident involving an ex-girlfriend.
Police say they were called Friday afternoon by a man claiming his ex had run over his foot with her vehicle.
The woman involved also called police with a different take on the events.
Fortunately for police a nearby business had video of the incident which showed a man jumping on the hood of the woman’s vehicle, grabbing her cellphone, and smashing it on the ground.
He appears in court September 27.
