An “Amazing Race” with a purpose…that’s what’s planned for next week in Belleville and Quinte West.
A fundraising event full of fun is what the United Way of Hastings and Prince Edward has in store for the public August 19.
The Quinte District Association of Realtors have announced the return of the Amazing Realtors Race.
It is a fundraising event to be launched at Zwick’s Centennial Park in Belleville but also taking place in Quinte West.
Community Relations Coordinator Jennifer Smith tells Quinte News there are still some spots open for realtors across Hastings and Prince Edward.
“… to really show their, showcase their support for our community. and they have done that tremendous ways in the past and we’re so happy to say that they will be doing that once again this year in 2021.”
Smith added, “The last time QDAR’s Amazing Race took place in 2019 it raised more than $16,000 for our community. So that was the first year that this event took place. So then we took a bit of a hiatis in 2020, because of the pandemic.”
“This year we’ve restructured the entire event. We’ve switched it up to teams of two.”
Smith also indicated, “Registration is still open. We do have a few spots available. It’s $250 for a team of two with all proceeds supporting the United Way HPE’s annual campaign. We also really want to thank McDonald’s of Belleville and Quinte West as a presenting sponsor this year.”
