A house fire in Quinte West Friday afternoon caused about $300,000 damage.
Quinte West Fire Stations 5 and 7, OPP, Hastings Quinte EMS, Hydro One and Enbridge Gas all responded to a house fire on Peterson Street in the Glenn Miller area around 1 p.m.
Fire Chief John Whelan says when emergency crews responded it was unclear if anyone was inside however the home owner arrived on scene from elsewhere a short time later.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
