On August 5, 2021, at 10:58 p.m., members from the Northumberland OPP, Fire and Emergency Medical Services attended the scene of a fatal collision involving a single motor vehicle that occurred on Sylvan Glen Road in the municipality of Port Hope.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck the ditch.
As a result of the collision, Serena Shaw, age 23, of Hamilton Township, a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced deceased.
OPP Technical Collision Investigation members are currently at the location conducting an investigation.
At this time, the investigation remains open. More information will be released when it becomes available.
