The former Director of Education for the Hastings Prince Edward School Board is joining the executive team at Loyalist College.
Loyalist announced on Tuesday that effective August 3, Sean Monteith, who resigned from the HPEDSB in March of this year, will join the college as Senior Vice President Academic.
Loyalist President Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan calls Monteith “a perfect fit for our growing destination college” with Monteith saying he’s looking forward to helping to build a new Strategic Academic Plan, while “working collaboratively with First Nations and communities in support of advancing post-secondary achievement.”
Monteith holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Education and Master of Education from Lakehead University and is pursuing a Ph.D through the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
Prior to his time with the HPEDSB, Monteith was the Director of Education for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
