One of the world’s longest continually running baseball leagues gets set for first pitch in just a few days.
The 88th season for the South Hastings Baseball League launches Tuesday August 3 in Melrose.
This year’s regular season will be 14 games for all eight teams, meaning everyone plays each other twice.
The schedule will be posted in the coming days at the South Hastings Baseball League website
The other piece of good news is that fans will be allowed back in the stands, but must follow health guidelines under Stage 3, which is currently in effect.
