Tyendinaga Township council has cleared the way for the development of a cannabis production and processing facility in the township.
Monday night council approved a site plan agreement with Wolfe Island Cannabis Inc.
The business will be located at 7455 Old Highway 2 just east of Briar Fox Golf and Country Club.
Existing buildings on the property, formerly used to raise and train horses, will be utilized for the growing and processing of marijuana.
