Throughout the month of July, the Community Development Council of Quinte (CDC Quinte) is asking the community to show them their superpower and join in the fight against food injustice! All funds raised will help them to continue the fight for food security, a basic human right, in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
During this last year, CDC Quinte has distributed a total of 32,582 Vegetable and Fruit Bags throughout H&PEC. During the same time period, 4,477 Good Baby Boxes were distributed. The Community Garden Program has also been active with 127 raised garden beds, most of them in the City of Belleville. These initiatives help ensure that everyone in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties has access to healthy, nutritious and affordable food. Join in the food fight to make healthy food available and help our community fight for food justice! Donate through the CDC’s food fight website or contact the CDC for donation options.
