There could be a decision Monday night by Stirling-Rawdon council allowing farmers some access to the Harold Quarry.
In recent weeks the quarry, south of Springbrook, has been closed to the public and surrounded by security fencing and locked gates due to insurance liability concerns.
Residents in the area have protested the quarry’s closing and have held so called “swim-ins” occasionally.
Council will vote on a motion by Councillor Sari Watson to allow farmers certain times to draw water from the quarry while waiting for an insurance company report on allowing swimming to come next month.
